Summary: When a software installation requires a computer restart, Installer.app warns you and asks you whether you want to continue. However, it does this very late in the process, right before the installation begins. By the time you see the dialog, you've already accepted the license agreement, given an administrator password, and chosen the installation method and location. If you don't want to restart now, then you've gone through all the previous steps for nothing. Installer.app should warn you at the beginning if a restart is required. Steps to Reproduce: (1) Open a pkg file that contains an update requiring a computer restart, such as a Mac OS X update. (2) Follow the installer instructions to install the update. Expected Results: If the installation requires a computer restart, then Installer.app should ask you at the very beginning, as the very first step of the installation process, if you want to install now. Actual Results: Installer.app presents the dialog, "Installing this software requires you to restart your computer when the installation is done. Are you sure you want to install the software now?" as the last step right before the installation starts.
