Summary: Within a bundle such as a framework, you often have a situation where there are links at the top level to folders within the hierarchy. For example, "Resources" is a link to "Versions/Current/Resources", and "Versions/Current" is a link to "Versions/A", so "Resources" ultimately links to "Versions/Current/A/Resources". However, Finder doesn't display these correctly. When you select the top level "Resources" link, Finder briefly displays the list of files in "Versions/Current/A/Resources", but then it replaces it with a preview column of a folder icon. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open "/Applications" in Finder. 2. Select iTunes.app. 3. From the contextual menu, select "Show Package Contents". 4. From the View menu in the main menu bar, select "as Columns". 5. Again from the View menu, select "Show View Options". 6. In the view options window, make sure that "Show preview column" is checked. 7. Close the view options window. 8. In the iTunes package contents, select "Contents/Frameworks/iPodUpdater.framework/Resources". Expected Results: In the next column, Finder shows a list of files in the "Resources" folder. Actual Results: In the next column, Finder momentarily shows a list of files in the "Resources" folder, then it replaces the list with a preview of the folder icon. See the attached screenshot "preview-column.png". Regression: If I recall correctly, this problem did not occur in Tiger. Notes: Attached screenshot "preview-column.png".
